You can basically turn any kind of sandwich into a slider. I’ve made many sliders from Italian grinder, roast beef, chicken parmesan and even Thanksgiving leftovers.

There is something about a bite size sandwich that is more appealing to eat than a regular size sandwich. Sliders are always a hit for lunch or dinner in our household.

We like to serve cheeseburger sliders with French fries but you could also add in some sides such as coleslaw, tater tots, onion rings or potato salad.

Cheeseburger Slider Ingredients

  • Ground Beef: I used 80/20 ground beef but you can use any lean ground beef for this recipe.
  • Cheese: White American cheddar is what I used but any cheese can also be used.
  • Buns: I used Hawaiian Rolls because they are soft and sweet but you can use any kind of slider buns or rolls you’d like.
  • Seasonings: Any burger seasoning will work or a combination of seasonings you like to season your burgers with.
  • Onion: A sauted, diced onion is used for a topping on the cheeseburgers but optional.
  • Butter Spread: Melted butter is used for the topping of the buns so they don’t bun and the sesame seeds stick to them.
  • Toppings: I left the toppings off besides the cheese and sauteed onions for everyone to add their own. You can add lettuce, tomatoes, condiments and whatever other toppings you’d like after they are cooked.

Helpful Tips and Variations

  • Get creative with toppings! Lay out a mini condiment bar with items such as pickles, jalapenos, bacon, tomatoes, lettuce and sauces.
  • Try different kinds of cheeses such as Pepper Jack, Swiss or any of your favorite cheeses.
  • To prevent buns from getting soggy make sure to drain grease before putting on rolls. You can also add a layer of cheese slices on the bottom of the buns before the ground beef.

Storing Leftovers

Place leftovers in an airtight container. Store in fridge and consume within 4 days. Reheat in microwave to desired temperature.
