These Easy Meatball Subs are simple to prepare with frozen meatballs, marinara sauce, cheese and seasonings. It’s the perfect weeknight meal for busy nights!
When nights get busy I like to turn to premade options like these submarine style sandwiches. Using precooked meatballs saves so much time and skips the steps of making them homemade.
It gets dinner on the table quickly and just in time before everyone is hangry. All you need is store bought frozen meatballs, store bought marinara, shredded cheese, seasoning and hoagie rolls. Serve the subs alongside a Caesar salad for a complete meal.

- Meatballs: I used Italian frozen meatballs for this recipe but you could use any flavor or homemade meatballs.
- Cheese: Shredded Italian cheese is what I used but provolone or mozzarella would be good also. You could also use slices of cheese instead of shredded.
- Sauce: Traditional marinara sauce is what I used but any pasta sauce will work.
- Seasoning: I sprinkles the tops of the subs with fresh basil to keep the Italian flavor but you can use any kind of seasonings you’d like.
- Buns: Hoagie buns or any of your favorite sub buns.
