These Texas Toast Cheeseburgers feature all the classic cheeseburger toppings stacked on Texas Toast, making it a family dinner favorite.
I knew these garlic toast cheeseburgers were going to be a hit after my Texas toast sloppy joes were.
I’m not sure what it is about changing up cheeseburgers from a bun to garlic toast but my family went crazy for them. Maybe it’s the crunch or just the fact that they’re somewhat unique.
Not only are they easy to make but customizable to everyone’s liking. Switch it up with different toppings, cheeses and pair with a side dish such as fries, onion rings or coleslaw for a complete meal.
I can almost guarantee there will not be any leftovers but if there is they are even better the next day. Enjoy!
Texas Toast Cheeseburger Ingredients
- Ground Beef: I used 80/20 ground beef but you can use any lean ground beef or use ground turkey for a healthier alternative.
- Onion: A sauteed onion is optional but adds flavors to the burger mixture.
- Seasonings: I used an already made burger seasoning for this recipe but you can use any of your favorite seasonings.
- Texas Toast: Frozen garlic toast was used but I bet the cheesy Texas Toast would be good also.
- Cheese: I used shredded mild cheddar cheese but you can use your favorite cheese in slices or shredded form.
- Toppings: Pickles and burger sauce is what I added for toppings but you can add your own favorite cheeseburger toppings.
